Dots and Stripes and Petroleum Jelly!
Remember my heart patchwork nail art design?! I forgot to add the dots and stripes inside, so I added them today!
And since this post is really really short, I'm gonna do my own little review of Petroleum Jelly!!
Petroleum Jelly's Purpose: Use to cleanse the diaper area, and allow to dry, apply product liberally as often as necessary, with each diaper change, and especially at bedtime or anytime when exposure to wet diapers may be prolonged. ( Basically its for baby's diaper area.. eww..)
But there are many more things petroleum jelly can do!! Since I don't feel like typing all of it, here's a link to a website. http://www.rd.com/home/extraordinary-uses-for-petroleum-jelly/
Here are some of my favorite uses of Petroleum Jelly. (Also known as Vaseline.)
Helps open stuck nail polish bottles.
If you've got a stuck nail polish bottle, when you open it, don't forget to rub some petroleum jelly on the lid. The next time you open it, it won't be stuck.
Helps moisturize skin.
Petroleum jelly is a great moisturizer. If you have dry knees and elbows just dab some petroleum jelly on and it will instantly become soft and moisturized, And if you have chapped lips, use petroleum jelly as a lip balm! (You can even make your own lipstick, by adding a pink eyeshadow to some petroleum jelly, mix it, and BAM you have homemade lipgloss/stick.) Here's another cool use. Put some petroleum jelly on your feet before you go to bed, put some socks on. And you will have soft feet in the morning! (You can also do this to your hands but instead of using socks, use cotton gloves.)
Helps grow your eyelashes.
I tried this before and it does work! It makes your eyelashes longer overnight! This may not work on some people though because we're all different. You can even use petroleum jelly as a clear mascara too!
Helps to tidy up manicures.
Dab some petroleum jelly around your cuticle and your nail and then paint your nail polish. And when nail polish gets on your skin, just wipe off the petroleum jelly of your nail, and the polish won't be there anymore. (No need to do acetone clean up.)
You can buy Petroleum Jelly for $3-4 depending on the size.
These are just some of my favorite uses, Thanks for reading my post!

The eyelash thing is interesting. I may have to try it.
ReplyDeleteThe patchwork hearts are such a creative idea, I love it! Petroleum jelly is extremely useful. I use it mostly to keep my skin from drying and cracking in the winter. I never heard of the eyelash thing though, sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteI love this design too!! Dots and stripes made them look even prettier:D
